Make sure its TDC on the compression stroke.

On a 92 s10 there is a connector that has to be disconnected to set timming there should be a tag under the hood that showes the connector and how to set the timming you may have to get a service manual

Did you disconnect the vacuum advance before you set the timing?

get a timimg light chances are it is still off how did you set the timing and what were you doing that it needed reset?

stop!!! Something is wrong and you must figure out what it is first or you may damage your engine. cant be more specific without more info on why you are doing it and what you did already. luck
