It sounds to me as if your little guy is having a shedding issue.
I have half a dozen Leo's and this is what I do when one of mine is having a problem shedding.

Take some water and let it sit out overnight to get the chlorine out and then put it into a small Rubbermaid tote, enough to cover the bottom of the tote anyway. Then place the tote on a heater that will stay about 80-85 degrees, not too hot, just nice and warm. Then place a terry cloth in the bottom of the tote and let it soak up the water, you want the terry cloth dripping wet. Once the water and tote are warm enough, place the Leo in the tote and put the lid on it. (Remember to put some breathing holes in the totes lid.) I usually wait about 3-4 hours and check on the temp. and how they are doing every 30 min or so. After about 4 hours if it is still on, take a damp qtip and rub it gently over the remaining shed, sometimes it falls right off, other times you have to take tweezers to it, but be cautious.

If all else fails, see a herp vet.

all of them have their sturdy and undesirable factors. i love crested geckos because i imagine they are wonderful! they are extra extreme priced than the different 2 although. Their care interior of reason extra reachable than the others too for my section-- extra reachable. Leopard geckos everybody will agree make fairly tremendous first timer reptiles, or lizards. it truly is because they take properly to accepted dealing with and grow to be fairly docile. What i love about eco-friendly anoles is that you'll homestead more desirable than one at the same time and they don't require a huge terrarium. the region is they are extra of a tutor puppy. they don't love being dealt with as a lot. I advise you bypass with the Crested Gecko in case you do not options spending the further money and decide to be distinct than your brother.

I'd take him to a Herp. Vet. or any vet that will deal with small animals. I don't have any experience with eye problems in Leo's, but any Herp. Vet should be able to help you out.

You could try here: http://www.herpvetconnection.com/
If you don't find anything there, don't give up, there are many sites dedicated to helping people find vet's for their reptiles. Just dig around the net for a while. Hope the little guy gets better!

What would you do if that was your eye? Answer- you would go to the doctor. So what should you do with the gecko? Answer- take it to the vet. Seriously it needs to see a vet ASAP.

Boxerowner2000 has a great solution for the problem I would follow his advice if you still have trouble you can also try gently removing with a piece of tape stick tape to eye and gently pull off.

he probably had an unsuccessful shed and the skin wasn't completely removed from the eye at some point. take him to the vet so that they can help him.
