I got one about a month ago, I clean mine with a cup of distilled water with 1/4 tablespoon of non-iodized sea salt after I eat. If you go to a good place they'll give you instructions. It feels like a really really hard pinch, (depending on your tolerance of pain) and mine went numb. The first few days it feels weird to drink and eat with it. I haven't had any problems with mine and it didn't hurt afterwards at all. So good luck and take good care of it!

Prepare for mass ouchies, I did mine and have had it for 5 years. I love it, but the healing process is wicked hard, lots of amber colored listerine, after everything you put in your mouth, be prepared for hard days ahead, remember its all worth it, it will scar your face forever too, so take that into concideration.

they pull out ur lip, clamp it, shove a big *** needle through it and then put the ring/bar through it. it bleeds and for a while looks feral. i had mine done, but then took it out cos it looked stupid. lip peircings pull down on your gum aswell, making your teeth look disguisting.
make sure you have thought about this deepy. its a fairly big desision. and if it gets feral say goodbye to ur lip.

Your instinct is telling you not to do it. It can hurt like a mother, and leave you with nerve damage in your face.
The best piercers are way below para-medical people in their knowledge of what they are doing, sterile technique and the body's neural map. They're amateurs -- and that's the very best of them, mind you.
---"My fellow piercers" ... LOLOL... That about says it all about that guy's intelligence level.

My answer is really a question.... Why do it??? It will definitely not help you in your adult years. Of course, I'm an "old fogy" so what do I know?
