Well that is kind of funny what the other comments are but I like to keep it honest and real. My Bahamian people do "haggle" people but it is because everyone sells the same thing. For example, straw dolls, straw hats and straw bags. You know things that depict our culture. But the trick is that if you tell the person you can get it cheaper to another stall, then they tend to lower the price. So browse around and take your time. It can be hot at times but you will have a great time.

PS You will also find mats, t-shirts as well as other souvenir items where there are bustling activities with vendors who are willing to bargain with you.

They sell things like T-shirts, jewelry made with beads, straw hats and things of that sort.

The Straw Market gives you a feeling of the local flair.

Enjoy!

Mostly cheap junk. Tourist T-shirts, some hand woven grass trinkets, seashell stuff, hats etc etc. It is a fun stop for an hour or so. You are expected to haggle.
