Besides the obligatory babysitting jobs, my first job was in a local bakery after school and weekends where I made $2.00 an hour! I stayed there for 2 years until it closed. I was out of work for 5 months when I finally got another job and I've now been with that company for 25 years.

Mail-clerk in a very large corporate office. The building was so large they had their own "post office" type mailroom inside it, i had a little bag like a mailman. I would walk from department to department and office to office delivering mail 3-4 times a day.
I was only 16-it paid around 5 dollars a hour. For a 16 year old that was cool! Yippie.

I started out cutting grass in my old neighborhood, that paid from $5-10 a yard depending on the size of the yard (this was in the early 80's). First real job, busboy at a local restaurant, minimum wage (at the time about $4.00/hr) plus tips from the waitresses (money not anything bad, although.....)

Cutting off chicken necks in the "disassembly line" at a chicken processing plant. Sometimes I got to take livers, hearts and gizzards out of a wheelbarrow, wrap them in wax paper and stuff them in the chicken carcasses. I don't even remember how much it paid, probably a couple of dollars an hour. I only worked there for two weeks. It was disgusting.

Working in the commercial section of the same employer I still work for, rather than IT as I now do.
Annual wage was under £4,000 in 1987 has become around £35,000 now.
Can't be bothered converting it to $ or an hourly rate

My first job was planting watermelon and cantelope seedlings in the fields. It paid $2/hr when minimum wage was $3.15, but was strictly unreported cash.
