Hi. You need software like Nero Burning ROM, good CD media, a burner that is not broken or improperly connected. Meet all of these and it should work.

uninstall the programs you use to burn the cd and then install again
it should work unless the actual cd burner part is messed up

Well, since you didnt put very much detail, it could be many things.
You may not have it connected properly.
The eye may be worn out.
The software may not be installed.
You may not have enough RAM.
You may not be using the right kind of recordable media.
What you are burning may be copy protected.

I think you can see from these answers that you need to explain a lot more about what happened..... like - what you were doing when it stopped working and what you've tried to do - to troubleshoot - if anything. Could be hardware - could be a corrupted driver - could be software.... lots of things.
