If you plan on starting a family, states with good education systems and good health care systems are a must. I would look at the upper Midwest: Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and North Dakota. All are ranked in the top five in the nation as far as education (along with Connecticut). They have low levels of air pollution and good health care systems. They are also very affordable states to live in, with a decent job market.

Any of the New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont). They have the best rankings in education, high school completion rates, and a high population of college graduates. Many Ivy League schools and close proximity to job markets in Boston and New York.

I would have to say Indiana cuz it's not super expensive to live there like california or anything...you don't have to worry about volcano eruptions, hurricanes, or long traffic jams (well maybe traffic jams this year cuz they're fixing up the highway around the down town area and it won't be done till maybe next january) you do have to worry about tornadoes but they're not too bad...you might have to worry about an earthquake since we have tectonic plates and stuff that can rub off each other...but that is quite rare to happen (hasn't happened since like 30 years ago and only a selected handful actually felt it) you get snow in the winter and modest heat in the summer....and you're around amusement parks in ohio and stuff...i highly recommend you living in indianapolis indiana though...
well that all i gotta say...

hey, i'm an analogous age as the two one among you, so be happy to get in touch with me in case you do finally end up shifting here! I consider the poster above suggesting Christchurch. in case you're very outdoorsy, then Christchurch (in spite of the reality that not the suited place to stay in terms of social existence etc.) is suited for you. There are surfing beaches minutes away, snowboarding 40 5 minutes away and all kinds of tramping all interior of 1h-a million.5h away. you would be entertained for a minimum of a three hundred and sixty 5 days with what's interior the location of Christchurch in the process the weekends, to not point out weekend journeys right down to Queenstown, Wanaka and as much as Nelson and Abel Tasman. sturdy success!

Arizona is a prospering state. My brother and many others from my area have left to go there. There are many job openings and tons of newly built houses for sale. Whatever you do don't come to Michigan. Good Luck.

Connecticut. The suburbs. Great public schools, so you get the perks of NY. Rich communities, so you're away from the dangers of Newark, NJ. Make sure you have some money, but it's basically the stereotypical Stepford town.
