The worse part of Detroit, during a snow storm, and roads packed up with people trying to get home. My car died in the middle of it all. On Feb 13th, I will never, ever forget it. Some homeless guy came and helped me out for 40 minutes.

Good story about that. 4-wheeling up a steep, twisting, rutted power-line road, we bounced our International Scout off the road and rolled back against a tree, facing uphill.
While we were congratulating ourselves on living AND landing in a place we thought we could drive away from....
....the battery, which had bounced out of it's holder and landed on the engine's hot manifold, melted through and lost all it's juice. No juice, no charge. No charge, no kick to start the engine.
We walked for several hours (before cell phones) before we found a place to call for help.
