Marriage is a religious tradition, and according to all current historical records, always has been - which is why civil unions exist for those who wish to attain similar results while avoiding any association with religious ceremonies. (Personally, I am against gay marriages, but in favour of gay civil unions).
Abortion is a matter of morality, but one not confined to the church despite the fact that most Pro-Life adherents are generally religious.
Legislating gay marriages is a tricky matter for modern American and one which will probably not one which will find resolution any time soon. I'm sure the inherent implications of Church and State seperation which the question of gay marriages raises need not be explained to you, so I will simply leave it at that.

Some people feel very strong about abortion because they believe that it involves a life (I tend to think that it is the potential mother's choice until the embryo actually starts to develop a consciousness). It involves not "Pro-Choice" and "Pro-Life" but rather "Pro-Choice" and "No-Choice".
The gay marriage issue confuses me; If you truly love somebody what should it matter? Gays and lesbians (is that the PC way to say it?) can't conceive a child so that can't be the issue. Power of Attorney can take care of any legal administrations so that can't be the issue. The only issue I see is that of insurance benefits; this no becomes a debate in civil court, not legal.
Good luck to you

The important word here is "choice."
A woman can choose to get an abortion. It doesn't matter if someone else agrees with that choice, or if that person would get an abortion themselves.
Anyone can choose to not be in a gay marriage, as of course conservatives would not be. A person should be able to choose to marry the person they love.

ok i'm going to save this as short as i will. first of all marriage is a non secular term it initially got here from religions (sorry wiki isn't a valid source). And marriage is a sacrament between a guy, a female, and God the rest isn't a marriage and should not be stated as one. specific criminal unions are positive I have not any situation with that do in simple terms not attempt to apply my non secular words and devalue the sacrament. As for being professional-existence that doesn't unavoidably propose you decide on it to be unlawful. actuality of the situation is that this is been shown that even an rather youthful newborn interior the womb does sense soreness so abortions are cruel. Its homicide, how can everyone condemn an harmless newborn to demise whose basically crime is to be alive is previous me. i don't think of that abortions could desire to be unlawful although because of fact there are severe situations the place it somewhat is suitable yet t should not be used as a sort of beginning administration. additionally if it maintains to be criminal we could desire to have extra regulations keeping the girls persons who get them. Abortions are not somewhat secure. additionally i think of abortion could desire to be a final motel, and if somebody does not choose their newborn provide it up for adoption. that newborn's existence is of equivalent value. No newborn could desire to die because of fact the mummy does not choose it.

Liberals have no Hypocrisy there!
Against abortion? don't have one!
Against gays being married ? Don't marry one!
If it is not about you, Keep your #***king Nose out of it!
If you want to live in a country where that doesn't happen?
Try Iran, or Burma, or just wait for the Taliban to take over again and go there.

Well, pro-choice means that you have the right to chose whether or not they get an abortion. We would also allow individuals to chose what gender they wish to marry. Same thing, we are looking for choice.

There seems to be a bit of hypocracy in your question. On the one hand, you sound as if you're down on liberals and then on the other hand, you sound pro gay marriage!

How can conservatives tell liberals to be pro life about abortion but not about sending our children off to die in a war that makes no sense at all?

Can you re-phrase your question. We're not sure what you mean by not being pro-choice about allowing gay marriage. That doesn't make sense as you've stated it.

the majority of americans are pro-choice, but a majority oppose gay marriage by that name. They're going with the majority.
