1998 Volvo V70 wagon; have new temperature (water) sensor switch, but can't afford for shop to install it. help!!

Its just below the thermostat housing and its a 2 wire sensor. Make sure you replace the thermostat and gasket as well.

This sensor, the one for the computer, is located in the thermostat housing. You should be able to find it on the passenger side of the engine compartment where the upper radiator hose leads to the t-stat housing. What kind of problem are you having that leads you to believe that you need a ECT sensor?

I completely trust Arthur O.....I owned a 'ninety 8 form and it replaced into no longer something yet difficulty. I spent as lots keeping the vehicle on the line as I paid for the vehicle form new. extra moderen Volvos are crap as could be seen via the undesirable resale values.

I don't know about newer Volvos, but you are more likely to find help on a Volvo forum than on this website. Try www.brickboard.com. There are a lot of people on that forum that can help you with your problem.
