Because most psychics aren't real, and the few that are real (I'm still not convinced that there are any) realize that using their power for personal gain would be wrong and screw with their Karma, or something like that.

I don't know. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? Many years ago, on my way to work, I passed a corner storefront that seemed popular with psychics. Psychic after psychic moved in to do brief stints there and in between, it sat vacant. I always wondered why the psychics couldn't seem to pick up on the fact that this particular storefront was a psychic's Titanic. I figure that if anyone had real psychic ability, they would either be down at the track picking winners or using it to help the police or just help society better itself in many ways. Actually, if you really were psychic, I think you could do both -- help other people AND make a fortune in Vegas or just picking Lotto numbers. I mean those are the things I would be doing if I were psychic. I sure wouldn't be sitting in a grimy old storefront with a little neon sign in the window that said "Walk-Ins Welcome."
