I guess when you don't meet society's standards for what the typical girl ought to be like. I don't get it.

I guess make-up or the way that you carry your slef do you cross your legs or cross one leg over in a l shape as you sit cruched in the seat, there are many little thing that make a girl "girly" so to say that keeps her from beings called a tomboy so there are many things that also get someone to be called a tomboy things like sports to but I do not agree with that there are some that are not and play hope this helps a little

You are considered (not concidered) a tomboy when you wear boyish cloths, do lots of sports, and don't really care about your appearance as much (like no girly cloths or makeup).

When I was growing up a tomboy was a girl that loved to play sports and didn't like to wear dresses. Today and Independent young lady.

basically when you dont care what people think about the way you look, you dont wear make up, you wear a lot of boyish clothes, and you do typical boy things (playing in the mud, playing sports, and stuff like that)

Yes I was when I was a kid.. I climbed trees, played sports, creek hopped and I really didn't care about hair and make up
