My husband bought me a beautiful Louet S10 single-treadle spinning wheel for Valentine's Day, and now that it and I have come to an agreement about this whole spinning process, I'm thinking it needs a name. It has an excellent "personality" though it can be a bit stubborn at times, and certainly knows how to object to unpleasant fibers! I'm inclined to call it a "her," but I'm open to suggestion. Any ideas?

as an explanation.. Aurora was the name of the princess in Sleeping Beauty who pricked her finger on a spinning wheel and fell asleep for 100 years. It is my favourite Disney story.

" Mariah " pronounced 'Ma reye uh'. Very musical and whimsical. (It comes from the musical Paint Your Wagon - the song is "They Call the Wind Marya". I have always like the sound of that name. And I think it would perfectly fit a personality plus spinning wheel made by Louet.
