They are trying to "convert" gays (both genders) and bis to get them to see the light for the bible thumpers but for the bigots and haters they just need to be pittied as they are so full of hate they can't even love themselves and they have to have someone else other than the person that they see staring back at them when they look in the mirror, this way they can try to feel better about themselves even though they won't and they know that they are going to go to hell and burn there unless they can turn their lives around but they think that someone else other than themselves are to blame for how bad their lives really are.

For the same reasons that people that are not against homosexuals come here. Human interest, information, anonymity, ridicule, perversion, love, hatred, boredom, and on and on. Such rhetoric is no different than the anti-everything bashing that permeates this site. Freedom of speech coupled with ignorance and hate equals hurt for someone somewhere.

Hate and fear mostly. They come here, because this is the only way they can lash out against their fear and lack of understanding. It would take more courage to say something face to face, but since they lash out at an audience, they are still hiding behind the internet. It takes more courage to be true to who you are, than it does to hate an idea of something you don't understand, and don't want to. The bible gets thrown in because it is an easy book to bend any way you want to, whenever you want to.

They have the right to do it. I'm sorry if that sounds mean. I'm not against homosexuals, I support gay marriage but there's no rule that says "No posting in the homosexuality section if you're against it." I'm an atheist and I love posting in the religion section.

because they have nothing better to do but shove their hate in our faces. They think that if they tell us that we're sinners and going to hell then we'll turn straight. I've had so many random people just come up to me while I'm walking down the street and hand me business cards to their church, telling me that they are ex-gays and I need to go get "saved" so "God can forgive my sin and I can be welcome in heaven when i die." It's just like when we try to convince homophobic people that there is nothing wrong with us, that we are people too, who love one another, not just perverts who go around and have sex with everyone. They are trying to convince us that we are confused, that (and someone told me this also) "the devil is possessing our body, making us think that we are in love with people of the same sex, because the devil wants us to go against God and the Bible so we can serve him as slaves in hell." ....They just want us to be like them...they want to turn everyone straight because over time, people have discovered that homosexuality is not a mental illness and are becoming more acceptable to it, so they fear that someday we will find the truth, that gays are not sinners and heaven is full of queers. Their scared because they know that they are wrong, so their trying to change us before their religion becomes ruined.

No, the bible teaches love for the fellow man, but some people just don't get that, and feel the need to harass others. They're just ignorant jerks who don't know any better, and you shouldn't let it phase you. Loves,

From my understanding, we as humans are suppose to love each other. Instead they start spreading hate and such. And they come to this forum because they seek attention, which they get abundance of it. Personally, I don't even let their mess get to me.
