Absolutely! It doesn't matter if you've been married two weeks or twenty years, once you go down that path, the road back up is very high. If you want a lifetime of happiness with someone who is going to stand by your side through it all, always be honest with them, even if it hurts them at the time, they would rather have that as the lies.

Honesty is one of many tiny little blocks that can make or brake a marriage. Not being honest in a marriage is by fare one thing that can be hard to forgive especially if the person is being dishonest agean and agean and agean not telling the truth one or even two times can be hurtfully but forgivable constantly being is worst than cheating well in a way it is cheating to be honest to each other is relay the only thing 2 people have to offer each other if there being married for love

Yes, if you are caught out in a lie, the trust is broken, Even if it was in your opinion only " a little white lie " . The seed of doubt is planted and your left too wonder, if someone can lie about something trivial, then they are even more apt to lie about something more serious, that they don't want you to know the truth about. Everyone should be given the opportunity too react the way they feel fit in any given situation based on the truth, you are disrespecting and denying someone the freedom of choice too form their own opinion, by telling a lie. I hate the saying "what you don't know can't hurt you" its a cop out. Just because you don't know your being hurt doesn't mean you aren't.eg some people may use that quote in the case of a partner having an affair/affairs. The truth is they are putting you at risk of STDs/HIV/AIDS and putting your life at risk, just because you don't know about it doesn't mean you are not being hurt. The hurt caused through the lie is bad enough, without the pain of knowing someone didn't care enough too think your life was worth so little.

Absolutely. Because marriage is based on love and trust. If you cannot be honest with your wife, then the marriage is in trouble. You know the answers, you just want confirmation of it. Lies can eat at a marriage and totally destroy it...so if you are not honest then stop it and come clean and turn over a new leaf otherwise end the marriage.

Yes it sure can especially if the lies never stop and you dont know what to believe anymore. But if the lying stops and someone is truley sorry for all of the lying and they seek help for it this may help the marriage and there may be hope. This is why honesty and integrity are key in a marriage to help keep it successful and happy.

Yes. Trust is one of the most important things in a marriage. You are life partners, you should trust your spouse more than anyone and feel like you can always depend on them to be there for you. If people aren't honest over and over again in a relationship it tends to cause a lot of tension and eventually the truth always comes out. It is very hurtful to find out your partner has been dishonest with you.

Yes, because you need honesty and trust in a marriage or there will be constant termoil. You can't have trust without honesty first. If you can't believe anything a person says, even if it is about unimportant things, how can you trust they will not cheat on you?

Everything can hurt a marriage. I have found that we have way more arguments when I am honest about something I didn't need to let out. When I said, "I think it's ok to flirt", it started the biggest argument we have ever had and I was being honest. Don't ever mention they are gaining weight. Finally, never answer the "How pretty am I on a scale of 1 to 10" question unless you are gonna say "10". Trust me.
