questions that start with "Does everybody..." or "Do all people..." etc when the answer is always very obviously no?

Isn't it obvious that there is always an exception?

It's not facetious, it's priggish. I'm only usually priggish about language. Everyone has their foibles.

Some people are not taught such critical thinking skills. Others live in such small homogenous social groups that they can't imagine an actual variety of people.

Another weak usage is the word always. Is there an exception to the statement that all people will eventually die?
