My school's dance is next week and I really don't know how to dance. I've tried just moving to music but it feels so awkward; any tips? I'm not into dirty/grinding stuff, just something that will work with pop music.

Listen to the beat, not the lyrics. Stay moderate, don't do anything too crazy, and you should be fine.

Kinda like playing DDR on Playstation. : )

Well you don't really have to do much to blend in with the crowd... It's important that you listen to the beat of the music and just start by moving side to side. Don't try to do moves your body isn't use to yet, just keep it simple for now. Put on one of your favorite pop songs to motivate you and start dancing before the dance. This will make you feel more relaxed at the dance... Remember to have fun with it. (Dancing)

Well, i used to have this problem too i didn't know how to dance (or so i thought).
1. just let your body go (loosen up)
2. ignore what people say about your dancing (this one was what brought me down a lot)
3. try practicing like with some music you know they'll have at the dance
4. don't wear tight stuff (it doesn't let u dance too well)
5. HAVE FUN!
just dance
P.S. HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF!
