i really need a good exercise CD for running that keeps me energized and not bored. im thinking maybe a cd that's no more than $15 that i can get at Best Buy. also, maybe a cd with no singing, like a dance cd or something.

I like exercising to a compilation of Hopak (to jump) and Kolymeyka (circle dance) music. This is fast semi-classical folk music for Ukrainian folk dance. Virsky has the classic Hopak music that is ubiquitous among dance ensembles. Hopak is a cross between ballet and martial arts. You can hear and watch an example of Virsky's Hopak at the youtube link. All of the music on the Virsky CD is instrumental and will get the heart pumping. Shoom (see link with sample) has a pretty good Kolymeyka, but far to short (4:18) for my taste. A Kolymeyka is a free for all where dancers take turns doing solos in the centre of a circle. Make your own music compilation from whichever sources you like. If you want more links, send an email.

I think that Electronic CDs are really great; it only plays the instrumentals (no lyrics) and it puts you in a great mood..makes your body pump with excitement!
