I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 and everytime i do a video call to someone, they cant hear me. Help!?

They don't hear me, they hear like the music coming from my computer, when people IM me on aim and stuff. Does anyone else have a webcam that does this?

it has a built in mic and ive done the test things and they work but on MSN it's being stupid and not workin lol

Try going to your control panel, under sound and there should be a place there for microphone... Make sure that the cam is selected (if it has a mic on it). If it doesn't have a mic built-in it - you need to buy a mic and plug it in your mic jack.

Also, within the software, there should be a 'test' that you run to make sure that your cam is running properly. Make sure you have installed the software properly. I have a Logitec QuickCam Pro 3000 (earlier version) and actually XP recognizes the cam and mic with no software. It doesn't work that way with all cams.

Just make sure you actually have a mic and that the mic is Selected as your mic device in your control panel.
