hmmmm, the united republic of bill gates? i think that's a small country in california. unfortunately, i hear it's only one man wide.....

luxemborg is the richest per capita

the US is home to the most billionaires & tied with norway for second highest per capita income behind luxemborg. we also have the 6th highest standard of living

china's per capita income is a seventh of what ours is (35k compared to 5k per year) and has the fourth largest external debt in the world - the usa is not on that list of 20 largest external debts

sweden and norway have the highest qualities of life

brunei and the united arab emirates (of which dubai is a part of) are not on the list of 20 highest gnp, 20 highest incomes or, 20 highest standards of living nor, do any of the 20 richest people in the world live in either of those places. however, both of these countries did make it to the top ten list of countries with the highest carbon dioxide levels. :o)

Perhaps Dubai. The U.S.A. has an economy built on a house of cards that could collapse at anytime. Besides that, the U.S.A. is morally decadent and American taxpayers are trillions of dollars in debt because of George W. Bush's unconstitutional and illegal war. Within a generation (or less), China (America's largest creditor) will have the strongest, richest economy and will replace the U.S.A. as the world's greatest superpower. At that time, China will call in the U.S.A.'s debt and - in affect - cancel our 'maxxed out' credit card. Then, with its half-billion-strong military force, it will simply come over to the U.S.A. and take whatever it wants: natural resources (oil, gas, helium, mercury, coal, etc.); banks; real estate; property; manufacturing facilities; even our women (if there's a demand for western beauties in the sex-slave trade). -RKO-
