Depends on who the someone else is.

ok,,, not just anybody no. I value and treasure my life above most others. Selfish yeah probably. However, if it were my father or my child....you betcha.

For a certain person, yes. I already wish I could trade places and give him his life back. Other people...I'd be willing to risk my life, without quite the initial intention of actually giving it up.

Well, since everyone else is lying or trying to make themselves look compassionate, I'm going to tell the truth. No, I would not give up my life for someone else. I love living and couldn't think of anyone whose life would be more valuable than mine.

If a gunman were to have my two daughters aged 27 and 24 and myself lined up, and say I will shoot one of you dead right now. I would volunteer. My children have not yet begun to live their lives. I on the other hand have had a good one.

Good question.

I'd risk my life for just about anybody. But if I knew I was going to die...in all honesty I'd like to think yes, but the real answer is, not for just anyone.

I would probably risk my life to save another persons life but to give up my life for theirs, maybe not.

Of course I would. any one of my three children. I would give my life for them in an instant. I would also give my life for them to never know that it was even asked if I would.(By the person deciding who to kill)

Yes, because I think the life they would live would be better than the one I would live.
