Yes, they do! It's quite intersting indeed. If you see an elephant skeleton in a museum, you will notice, that the "ridges" (I'm sorry, I don't know the right name in Englisch) in the bones, which are for the bone to grow and normally close in adult animals (like, for example humans) never close in elephants. They can grow they entire life.
