During a Post game interview Shaq said to a reporter "Tell Yao Ming i said ching chong wong ching" or a phrase to that effect. I thought it was funny and even Yao Ming said he wasnt offended, however there were many sensitive asians who took offense to it and Shaq apologized. The media made it out to be a bigger deal than it was

it was shaqs way of trying to be funny and belittling an opponent. he's always like that when he feels the media hypes up a potential challenger to his 'top center in the game' standing. shaq usually criticizes an adversary's game as being soft or saying he's like a girl or something but since obviously yao is new to the country and one of the first chinese (or asian for that matter) players in the league, he took a jab at yao by mocking the language. he didnt realize it would catch that much heat from the asian community but it did. but outside of the asian community, i dont really recall it being that big of a media blitz...like something john rocker said or jimmy the greek. shaq did apologize and wont make that mistake again...even more so now that he's the elder statesmen of the league and no longer the top C.

i live in houston and after that happened, when the lakers came to town...the town was abuzz as anytime i could remember when it came to basketball (other than the championship years).

There was no racist conflict, Shaq said Chinese people talk funny, Yao Ming did'nt say anything. It's just a typical jock being a jock, Shaqs like a big baby.

you are able to ok reword that query to ascertain what causes conflict between fundamentalilsts and easily everyone else. The Bible is an particularly complicated artwork, there is not any such issue as one genuine all encompassing translation and set of beliefs. it truly is truly some the project. All Christians, and featuring fundamentalist Christians could be some distance more suitable positive off in the journey that they realized all of them agreed on a lot a lot more suitable than they disagree on. There are adjustments to be particular yet when all we do is fucus on the adjustments and dont see the face of God in easily everyone we meet we are no longer residing as Jesus could have us.

Shaq has made a living making ridiculous comments.

A little insight into Shaq...whenever anyone starts proclaiming themselves the greatest of anything, time to put on your hip waders cuz the craps gonna start flowing.
