Ya'll know that he rose from the dead, and his bones are gone too. They don't have any DNA that they know is Jesus's so they can't match it to ANY DNA. And it didn't say anything in the bible about him having a wife and kids. You know the bible is right because God told the prophets to write it.I NEED ANSWERS!

I don't believe in it, because it's just like you said. Jesus rose from the dead so there can't be a body. AND Jesus did NOT have a wife, and kids. all he had was a mother, and a half brother. those scientists are blasphemers, who want fame. they want what Howard Carter had when He found King Tut's tomb. We Christians need to stand up and tell these people the truth. we can't just sit back and twiddle our thumbs. We know the truth, so it is up to us to fill the rest of the world in.

Here's the deal. Those people that made that movie Da Vinci Code was excavating around Jerusalem or somewhere. They found a tomb with some bones in it and claimed that it was Jesus'. No they will never find Jesus' bones because of two facts. First, Jesus rose from the death and there are no bones of his. Second, they have no evidence with DNA or nothing else that they are Jesus' bones. What it is is that they are just out to ruin Christianity, they're trying to make a name of themselves, and they want to make Jesus look bad. It's all a bunch of lies.

Edit to Blakenwit...: If the shroud of Toren is actually of Jesus, It still wouldn't have any DNA on it. You are forgetting your basic Biology. DNA will deteriorate over time unless it is fossilized and at that, it takes many years to fossilize. By then, the DNA would have washed off and such. And yes, there is no physical evidence that Jesus existed, but there is some sort of evidence.
The bible and a book written by an Athiest or non-Jew at the time of Jesus. He mensions that Jesus is going around preaching and stuff. I don't remember the name of it, but it's there. Also, Jesus was NOT a popular name back in those times.
One other thing, in your conclusion, you stated that anything is possible. In another paragraph, you said that it is impossible for Jesus to ascend to Heaven. Which is it?

I b elieve that it is entirely likely that Jesus married and had kids. The bible never said he didn't. People just assume that he didn't as sex seems to be the worst sin anyone could ever commit but if Jesus was human, he would enjoy sex just as he would enjoy eating. It is very likely he married and the Bible does mention that he spent quite a bit of time with Mary Magneline and wanted to help her as much as he could.

Even the people who found the bones aren't sure as Jesus, Joseph and Mary and Judas were very common names. They are just highly certain that that is what they found.

About not having any of Jesus' DNA...that is a possibility. They claim to have the shroud that he was buried in, his clothes, sandles and such. Remants of his DNA would be on clothes he wore if the clothes weren't washed. The Catholic church claims to have many of his clothes...some claim to have the parts of the cross he was crucified on and that would absolutly have blood on it. The only problem is that maybe the church doesn't really have anything from Christ but just claim to have it and that could make for a problem.

Now, do you believe that people have some of Jesus' clothes or the cross? If you believe that, then you can pretty much believe that there is DNA on it. If you believe there is DNA on these things (and it is true that it could but it is very likely not Jesus' stuff) then you can be fairly certain that the DNA on the bones and the stuff claimed to be his in Catholic Museums could be matched.

We can't know for certain that the clothes the Catholics say have been preserved for these thousands of years really belonged to Jesus and we don't know for certain that the bones are his either. In truth, there is NO physical proof that Jesus existed at all. You either believe or you don't. People are pretty much grasping at straws. Anything is possible.

What is highly unlikely is that he rose from the dead and ascended into heaven...it is physically impossible and part of the Mythology that makes Christianity so interesting.

It is as unrealistic as Shiva cutting the head off an elephant and putting in on his own son in the Hindu religion. Hindu's believe this (by faith) just as you believe that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven...disappearing without any proof except his followers word and people who believe it, believe his followers were reliable prophets.

People who believe in Shiva believe Shiva is God and his followers are prophets and are just as dedicated to that as you are to the Jesus stories. Questioning theories is a healthy thing. Question, doubt and think...anything is possible.

So, are you like one of those radical christians?
Don't be so small minded child. Anything is possible. There will always, ALWAYS, be people in the world trying to belittle Jesus & God all together to make themselves feel more at peace with themselves. For instance, "If I make it seem like Jesus wasn't as good as they say then I have less a chance of going to hell."
Though there are ALOT of people out there that search for reasons to believe, there will always be an equal, and some times bigger, number of people that search for reasons not to believe.
Screw the DNA. Believe what you want. Make your beliefs your own - Not some one elses beliefs.

p.s....
the Bible went from him being a child to a time period shortly before the crucification. Doesn't leave much room for the wife & kids in the bible - if it is true. Personal, It wouldn't phase my faith.

This is so simple. If these remains are of Jesus, then there should be some God DNA since he is suppose to be the son of god.

hey!!! Why not???? What an awesome way to modernize the Second Coming (the 'manger' thing was already done). Why not a cloned Jesus from DNA???? Someone (anyone) on this planet deluded enough to believe they KNOW that isn't possible???

i don't think it is true. because like you said, He rose from the dead. When the disciples went to visit the tomb, the body was gone. So... its probably just a coincidence with regards to the names.
