Teraveen the god of awakening came down upon the dull form of Earth and cast his powers down for his own amusement. To his pleasure and amazement a creature unlike any other began to form, and he smiled with his unintended magnificence. “Look what I have awakened, he said with a childish smirk.
A low roar was heard across the stretches of space as many other gods were alerted by the sudden and beautiful creation.
“What have you done to my planet?” Ived said angrily. He gazed upon the now glowing planet. “What HAVE you done?” He said again, mildly impressed. Teraveen could only shrug, and then cover his ignorance with a mighty laugh. “This is unlike any planet I have ever created.”
“Hey, you may have started it, but I finished it!” Teraveen said.
“Neither of you made it.” Lorius said with a huff, throwing back her hair, strewn with a line of galaxies. “I built the canvas.”
“All of you be quiet!!!” Yunger shouted out, all other gods were silent. “Teraveen, do you know what you have done?” Teraveen again shrugged, and laughed. “Silence! Your laughter disgusts me. This is man you fool. MAN!” The others looked in confusion.
“Man?” Asked Lorius.
“Soon this planet will be nothing, just an insult to us. To ALL those who create.”
“See what you’ve done to my planet?! Destroy it!!!” Ived said eagerly. Teraveen reached out his mighty arms, but nothing happened.
“You cannot destroy it now.” Said Yunger. “Not even I can.” The gods gasped. Soon two other gods entered, Hostald and Jlus.
“Shall we make our mark here?” Asked Hostald.
“Oh it is so dark, let’s make it a big one.” Said Jlus.
“For once I am glad to see you two.” Yunger said. “We have man here.”
“Man?! Who? Why?” Jlus and Hostald said in chorus. Teraveen lowered his head.
“Teraveen has awakened them, but do not judge. That is my place. No, this could not be stopped. That is the way of man.”
“What is?” Lorius asked.
“Never you mind, Lorius. You two must make me a star.” Hostald and Jlus looked over excitedly. “Man is uncontrollable. But they suffer mortality. Build me a star.” Hostald and Jlus could wait no longer.
“A BLUE STAR?”
“A GIGANTIC STAR?”
“A STAR WITH MOONS, WHY NOT?”
“Make me a star that will die.” Yunger said slowly.
“A star that will die? But we have never done such a thing!”
“You will now, you must. And make others like it; afterwards, to be sure that man does not escape his fate.” The gods waited in silence.
“Why do you fear this man so much?” Lorius asked, ever curious.
“It is my place to know. It was my place to await their arrival.” He paused. “Make my star, Jlus. Make my star, Hostald. Make them a shining clock that I may watch over.”
