Been there and done that. I wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. In my humble opinion, too many people wasted precious time on what turned out to be frivolous things, including me. Don't get me wrong, it was fun at the time, but the price came later when many of us outgrew the lifestyle. We suddenly found ourselves years behind friends who had completed college while we chased music festivals around the country. Too many of my friends ended up with drug and alcohol problems. A significant number of people found themselves having difficulties dealing with the "straight" people they had shunned for years and the subsequent period of adjustment was costly. It was a very idealistic time, but for many, the idealism never quite meshed with the reality of life.
To answer your question, I would like to go back for a visit, but I wouldn't stay very long.
Good luck in all of your endeavors.

I suppose if I could know what I know now and could make a few changes along the way. I really miss the 60's as there was a time that was called "innocent times", even thought there were a lot of turmoil with the war and a lot of other things. That's when rock-n - roll really was just that. Now its just a lot of noise. That's just my opinion. But what the hey. !?
Ya i would do it if I could, I had fun and there were a lot of precious moments that would be nice to relive.!

my parents were hippes from the sixties, so i was raised like a hippe flower child. it was a really cool time and everyone was rebeling against society. people wore their hair all long and acted really freely. their was alot fo cool music and it just seemed like a really fun liberating time, unlike now...america has gone back to the dark ages!

No, it was a chaotic time of revolution in the U.S., war in Viet Nam, sex, drugs and rock'n' roll. And look where we are now.
