isn't ssi and social security 2 different things also he recieved more ssi and socail security because we were a family of 5

I don't think so. Why do they receive SSI from the father? The father can only get SSI if he is disabled and unable to work, meaning he can't pay child support because he has no income.

That is a mean of support so no,we got ssi from my fathers before and after his death because he could not work to pay it.
