If not, how do you deal with them?

I only tailgate those that deserve it. If somebody is refusing to go the speed limit when the road is clear ahead and free of water and ice, I tailgate them until I can pass them.

If I get somebody tailgating me, I just let off the gas and let my engine slow me down. I drive with a manual transmission, so the wheels turn directly with the engine.

I had fun with that once. Some idiot passed me, and I sped up and tailgated. About 6 ft off his bumper. For 5 miles, on a mountain road. It was fun!

Nope
I sometimes pull over if I have a feeling their going to be stuck behind me for awhile, then I get right back on the road. Finally, after I've let them pass, I watch for them to be pulled over a few miles up the road for speeding or causing an accident.

No, and they way you deal with them is to suddenly stop, have them crash into your back and they're blamed for it since if they weren't tailgating, they wouldnt have crashed. This way they have to pay for it all and all you do is sit back and let this tailgating bastard fix things up.

Only if someone is going more than five mph below the posted speed limit and there is no way to get around them. Then I'm on them like a bad rash.

NOOOOoooo!!!!!!!!! I hate tailgaters. They really are a part of driving that is most aggravating to me anyway.

Avoiding them sometimes is next to impossible if you are in heavy traffic and nowhere to go.

I stay several car lengths behind. I'll change lanes if someone's tailgating me.
