I am just getting into the fantasy game for the first time this year, so I'm not an expert yet. I have to say that given a choice, I'd pick Reyes. He just gives you more categories than Howard in terms of a fantasy league. Howard will give you monster HR and RBI numbers and a good average, but Reyes had 19 jacks last year, and he will also give you double digits in doubles, triples, and steals. He also hit .300 last year. He's a fantasy monster and I'd have a tough time choosing between Pujols, A-Rod, and Reyes.

I would say Howard because the only stat Reyes has over Howard is stolen bases. Howard is better in Home Run and RBI while they are both equal is runs and avg. But its a lot harder to find a solid short stop then a first basemen. So I'd probably take Reyes over Howard.

I'll go Reyes, Howard can't put up the same numbers as last year, and if he does, he'll start getting the Bonds treatment which doen't help in fantasy unless you have OBP. Reyes has some power, great SBs, and good average.

howard is great for power and rbi's but he's not a 5 tool player. reye's steals equal howards hr totals in fantasy sports. but howard only beats reyes in rbi's. asking howard to hit 58 bombs this year is asking alot being as he'll have to repeat his second half of what..30 bombs and 354 average

that ain't gonna happen no matter how much i'd like to see it. howard isn't a one year wonder-but he won't come close to matching those numbers again.

But overall, I have to go Reyes because not only does he beat Howared in stolen bases but also will probaly win other categories such as avg. obp. and runs scored. Jose Reyes has all the tools to become a great baseball player. He has speed, a great glove and a not to bad bat.
