I suppose It depends on where you live for Instance In my area (Burbank CA) I would choose Public because We have an outstanding school district with good funding for extra curricular activities etc.. Excellent schools and teachers our high-schools look like malls they are beautiful (Not to mention I could then put away that monthly private school fee for college) But If I had to choose between LA Unified and private I would definitely choose a private school ! (Due to the condition & funding in LAUSD) But Over all I think Kids need to be around all diffrent economic classes so that they learn to appriciate all they have and not think that , In life everyone just gets what they want. That way they have a variety of friends and become fuller peopple ! So If you have a good school district go Public If not Private ! GOOD LUCK !

I would always go public, no matter how much money I had. The private schools here seem to be too focused on religion, and to me they could be learning about the real world. They do need a certain amount of religious education, so they are able to make up their own minds, but not for it to be drummed into them. Private schools are so expensive...everything from uniforms and the initial fees. A friend of mine spent $900 on her sons uniforms. They will only fit him for the year

Public school is good if you like the summers free and are wanting to pay for a free education. Private schools are good because you get a much better education but it will cost you

well, public schools sorta are good for the comunity, and you dont have to pay. but if you are unhappy with your school, try private. another good thing about public is you get a wider mix of kids and get to know more people, a lot of times private just have like 1 type of people. my parents used to be huge supporters of the public schools, but im not being challenged enough so they are just moving me to a private school. good luck!

If I were to stay in the US it would most defiantly be private because of all the public school shootings but if I move back to Australia there schools are real good and you never hear of school shootings.

i choose public because you get to interact with more people as you get higher in your education. in private schools you only get to meet people who qualify and have enough money to get into those schools. public schools shows you a variety of people who will be the ones in the worst situations but, they will teach you something that you'll never forget.

i guess that means your going to a public school...to be honest i don't like public schools. private schools tend to have higher grades because the school has higher standards. public schools don't need to have high standards, so the grades are lower. because private schools compete with each other they need to have high standards or parents might not send their kids there. public schools don't compete with each other, and don't need high standards, like i said, resulting in lower grades.

it does not matter whether public or private, as all it depends on the child.
