One time we went on vacation and we were driving to florida, we were half way there and we realized we forgot his blankie, and we had to turn back and get it. I thought he was going to have a seizure without it.

You could cut his blankie up and make him lots and lots of underpants from the pieces and then he can feel secure always.

Because you are letting him 'get away with it' ... any child who is older than one year is 'too big for a pacifier' and any child who is over two is 'too big for a blankie' ... I suggest that you talk with your son about his needing 'to be a big boy' and how he's going to have to 'give up his pacifier' first and then his 'blankie' ... set the pacifier where he can 'see it' at first, then put it into a 'frame' and hang it on his wall after a month of 'not using it' ... then do the same with his 'blankie' ... and be sure that you 'treat him like a grownup' and that you make his 'giving up his 'lovies' be something 'he's doing because he's so grown up' and you should be 'rid of both' in six months or less.

How old is your son? This is probably a security thing for him. I had a teddy that I always slept with and we COULD NOT forget it at a hotel. I still have it now, even though it stays in my hope chest now. Your son is being normal. Help him realize that he has to take good care of his blankie and make it his responsibility to get it to the car when you stay at hotels and such. It will make him proud he has something that is HIS that HE can make sure gets done.

first off, I am nearly thirty years old and I am still dependent on my pacifier... so if you have a problem with pacifiers, please use some discretion in projecting your opinion, because I take it very serioulsy... so I suggest you start having more respect, or else the middleagedmenwithpacificiers.com community will come after you in court.

sincerely,
burt

Sounds like a security issue to me. Maybe he's not getting enough attention or is afraid of something.

Mine's the same, you just need to remember it until they pass that phase. Good Luck.

Well, i think before this question can be properly answered, you have to ask youtrself a question. Why are you asking people if its o.k. to suck your own wee wee.
