This depends on the format = if the youtube video can play in windows media player then the windows media player can copy this to a device. (theres copy option under file drop down option) If you have got a video with a format like a windows video file then you should be able to download this to your ipod through the ipod program installed on PC as most have.
But you may be able to scratch the above - and go with - I do have a sure thing: Freeware named: Fidyo FLV Player this records youtube and be free apparently into re-playable format also ! new and came out: November 29, 2006
If you want a video clip you can use the free Bulents screen recorder program.

download youtube grabber to get the video to your computer. It will be a flash video file on your computer. Then you need to get a (probably free) converter to change the flash file to an ipod video file.

Sort of. You'll need the firefox plugin called "video downloader" that lets you snag the .flv file you tube uses, then you'll need conversion software to make it a filetype compatible with the iPod. It's kind of a hassle but it can be done.
