For example, Pope Benedict only speaks FIVE languages. I ask you: why not SIX? In addition to those five languages he speaks, he can read ancient Hebrew and ancient Greek. But why not ancient Egyptian, too? Oh yeah---he has degrees in things like philosophy and theology. Yet, no degree in physics or anything. So then, again: why are religious people so weak-minded and uneducated?

That, my friend, is a seriously inflated generalisation, which cannot be applied to all religious people. I'm not religious, but I know plenty of people who are, and most of them find some comfort in the idea of a higher power. Belief is a personal thing. We are all individuals and all interpret things differently.
There are as many "weak minded", blind non-religious people as there are religious people.

Sarcastic questions are a challenge to answer. Regardless of religion, people can choose simple answers or get the best education they can. Just because one has faith in a higher power does not mean one cannot handle advanced physics or challenging languages. Others use religion as a reason to not bother with education: "the word of our god says women should not get educated" "my god wanted me to kill you according to my own translation of this text of his that you may not see" "with god all things are possible, so who needs school" "we could learn about scientific theories, but they look sounder than our religious texts, so lets just skip that" and so on. Waiting for god to plop answers in your lap instead of thinking can be bad, but most people don't do that. Some people just overgeneralize.
