if only it were that simple.
if only the radical conservatives simply didn't know any better then we would all be able to avoid making any real moral judgements of them.
but i find it hard to believe that the leaders of most of american corporations are as you have described.
they know exactly what they are doing.
guys like rush limbaugh and sean hannity know exactly what they are doing.
their nazi style attack on the language has also largely succeeded.
calling someone liberal is generally a kiss of death and even though most americans call themselves conservative they are not really in line with the republican ideal.
unlike most of the above posters, i think that your generalization is, in fact, GENEROUS to conservative radicals - who wish to replace good ole fashioned american common sense with fear.
where ever fear is used to replace reason a radical is responsible for doing so.

Less educated...less educated. Conservatives are some of the most educated people i know. And we are definetely NOT afraid of government and there is always the chance of a homeland invasion...though very very unlikely. And the only reason we tend to be religious zealots is because when you truly believe in your religion...it affects every choice you make, every action you take, and every thing you say. Christianity is not a belief but a way of life. I myself am an agnostic but I am also a conservative...probabley more conservative than even bush. And as far as 'gun lovin' goes...I say this over and over. We are the most powerful nation (both economicaly and militarily) in the world and have to push our weight around everyonce in a while to keep that status.

1) While I am a Christian, I do not view myself as overbearing.
2) I can't have guns? Explain why I can't protect my cattle herd.
3) I happen to like living in a rural community. We don't kill each other.
4) You're right. I am fearful of the government. It scares me how much power they really have.
5) Military invasion? Do you mean the Department of "Homeland Security?" I've seen cats sleep less then those guys.
6) Trust issues? Don't have any idea what you're talking about. I trust lots of people. Just nobody on TV.
7) Less educated? I beg to differ. Just educated in a different manner. Lets see you run a farm. (and I am a college student, so that kinda sets that apart)
In conclusion, your remarks are not based on any evidence, and are the result of a largely stereotypical city dwelling environment.

I don't like telling my neighbors how loud they can have their music, or that their yard is messy and it is bringing my property value down. So I choose to live in a rural area with out neighbors.I believe in God and in the goodness of others. I have a gun for protection, I live in a rural part of my state and the sheriffs office is a long ways away. 9/11 is the reason I am worried about homeland security. You got me on the education because I have only 1 year of college. I trust every one who is trust worthy to me. Are you completely happy with how our government is running the show? Local,State and Federal issues are not a concern of yours? You suburbanites are all alike FAT and HAPPY.

I'm a Conservative and I find your representation ridiculous. I am a Christian , I do live in the Country, I am not "gun lovin" (and I do agree with limited gun control, LIMITED), I am not afraid of the government and I am very well educated. So...I think your problem is more than likely just that I think a little differently than you. I find it extremely sad that people try and sell this type of information as factual. I grew up in the city of San Diego, (can't get much bigger) I now live in Rural Maryland, and I love it. It's simply fits our life style better than the city does, that's all. Think before you rattle off information (or misinformation) like this.

Where do you get your information? I guess that is why some city dwellers think food originates at the grocery store. What is going to happen to your entitlement beliefs when the dwindling fossil fuels makes the energy crisis real? Will you still be saying Renewable Energy is free because the wind and sun have free energy in them? Do you not understand that the infrastructure to capture that "Free" energy is expensive to create? That much of the cost is the energy to create it.
Well maybe you will get your education as the economy spirals downward when the baby-boomers' retirement bill collides with the energy crisis. Enjoy the economy of 1850 by 2050 & all the civil unrest the spiral will create.

Well, I believe in my 1st amendment right to freedom of religion, and my 2nd amendment right to have a gun in my home.
I live in LA County, hardly rural.
And I have a BS Degree and graduate coursework. Never finished grad work because I've never had the need to.
And so does my Republican Latina wife.
There goes your stereotype!

Do some fact checking, liberal wacko. WE are as educated as the liberals in this country. You lack common sense and have a socialistic view. Better thank the conservatives that you have freedom, because if it wasn't for us, this country would be speaking German and Hitler would of never been defeated. We are only going to take your elietist, socialist, political correct, liberal media domination for only so long then the conservatives will take back this country and sanity will once again reign supreme.
