experience. Do you think as a 21 yr old woman I will have an opportunity to enter the same line of work somewhere else? I was handed the job that I have but I have excelled in it. Most places say they only hire people with 5 or more years of experience. What do you think?

Depending where you move to. If you move to one of these southern "good old boys" towns I live in, it will be tough, but not impossible. You may need to start off as an assistant manager due to your lack of expeirence (had you been a carpenter for three years and a site manger for two, it might have counted as five years expeirnce). Finding work in a company of 50 or more will be easier because they have many differnt levels of managment and EEOC reporting. If you and a man with the same experience apply for the same job, they must hire you or you can sue them (not that I'm recommending that).

I too worked in a man's world and have had difficulty finding a job and have change careers because of it. Finding supervison and managment jobs outside of that field have been quite easy, so if you can't find work as a construction site manger, you could probably find work as an office manger. Your a couple years younger than me and I hope you have the energy to stick with it.
