Bill clinton that is. matter of factly hasn't Rudy been through 3 marriage? this is the same guy who left his ex through a NEWS CONFERENCE. same guy who keeps taking credit for being a leader after 911 yet this is the same guy who moved the emergency center for nyc to THE WORLD TRADE CENTER..against the adivce of the head of police and the fire dept...but yet people say he was a leader after 911..i wasn't aware putting a curfew on the city qualifies one as a leader (that's all he did he did nothing else). he keeps taking credit for cleaning up nyc when it WAS ED KOCH WHO DID IT-STARTING WITH REMOVING THE GRAFFITI FROM TRAINS.

I'm a hard right-wing Republican and there's no way in hell I'll back Giuliani for president. As you stated, he is a liberal. If he gets the nomination, I'll probably vote Libertarian in '08.

A lot more needed to be done than removing the graffiti from subway cars. Under his watch, the NYPD went after a lot of small-time offenders that had long arrest records. Rudy ran the pimps and whores as well as the drug dealers from Times Square.
There was no curfew in place after 9/11. Manhattan was closed off except for essential personnell right after the attacks. A sensible security measure.
Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal made a donation of $10 million to a disaster relief fund but Rudy rejected it following some controversial remarks. A man of principle. I bet First Lady Bill would have kept everything all hush-hush, and I'm sure his liar wife would as well.
As far as him being no better than First Lady Bill? Rudy did have 3 marriages, like most other people in the world SO WHAT? At least he didn't have an intern under his desk while bin Laden was making his plans.First Lady Bill lied about Monica Whoreinsky under oath. Remember that?

My baby (youthful grade college elderly) informed me that he needs me to vote for Howie lengthy for president. I rather a lot drove off the line guffawing. How about a mormon - yet another first (Romny)? i'm particularly leaning in that route. I particularly have continuously voted Democrat contained in the previous, yet have develop into more suitable conservative as i'm getting older. besides the undeniable fact that, i'm searching Romny to be more suitable middle-of-the-highway than some distance suitable and really some his perspectives make experience to me. i like Obama's photo and demeanor, yet am waiting to really see him take a position on something. I do imagine that he will take the more youthful vote - he's the nearest issue to "cool" the presidency has seen in a lengthy time period. Giuliani has an undesirable lot of massive income the back of him - I trouble about him being in it more suitable for the massive organization than the "little guy". Hillary is a wise lady, yet her previous dealings are somewhat questionable (pre-senate) and that i'm fairly hostile to her healthcare courses. Obama can be a threat if he could enable us see more suitable of what he's about.

Consider this, what if he doesn't get the Republican nomination? Are people going to write his name in? I doubt it!
Comparing people that we really don't know, except by what we read about them, seems like a waste of time to me. I have no idea of what Mr. Clinton really did other than to lie after taking an oath not to lie. His private life is not my business. Neither is Mr. Guliani's. Everyone has some hidden facets in their lives & we don't know them or the reasons for them so why waste time makeing comparisons that really don't matter?

To answer your question simply is because the majority of the country is fed up with far right conservatives, which is what's been bogging the US down for the last 5-6 yrs, and also fed up with extreme left wingers, that are simply pro abortion, pro gay, and anti guns. Gulianni is the Republican's front runner for a reason. He's a conservative with some liberal ideas, more towards the center.

Why? Because they want a Republican in the White House and Guliani can win.
It's about holding on to the power.

He is pro abortion and gay marriage too, this ought to take the people down south through some changes, but the good part is change would be good for the south. Still he is a repuglican and I don't trust him.

It is more important to wonder why anyone would vote for a Republican. Giuliani is setting himself up by failure, simply by putting his political and personal baggage under the microscope, by running for the presidency.
