i want to buy a tv tuner card so i can watch tv on my pc. So im looking at the system requirements and one of them is a sound card, and i dont know if i have one. I have a Compaq presario modl # SR2023WM.

"The majority of PCs have sound cards either onboard or as a PCI add in card. Look at the back of the computer, if it is newer and everything is color coded you should have at least 3 small round plugs (green, red, blue). Your speakers go into the green connector of that style."

this is correct in your case i suggest if you do decide to get a tv tuner card u get a ATI TV WONDER 200 PCI Tuner Card, i have one and i love it. good luck and remember unplug and ground your pc before u open it.

Almost all computers have sound. Just get your headphones and look for someplace to plug them in.

you probably have an integrated sound card. (built into the motherboard) If you have sound, you have a sound card.
