Hey Denis,
No references on this one. Bread. Bread is the greatest invention. Billions of people eat it every day. But someone had to make it for the first time, put the ingredients together and bake it. And what about rising with yeast. It would be impossible to say who made that discovery now, but what a wonderful food invention.

Concorde....without a doubt.
Before this,... mach 2 flight was only accomplished by men in hermetically sealed flight suits in pressurised cockpits. Then someone had the crazy idea that supersonic flight could happen with 220 businessmen in suits demanding the product of a pretty nifty wine cellar while doing stuff that parachuting would normally have a role to play.
Concorde is not just the best...it is the most amazing!!!!!
