The Cardinals can repeat as champs. The Cubs are the Cubs and invested in overrated players (I.E. Jason Marquis, there is a reason the Cards said goodbye). The Brewers are going to be a good team but Suppan wont be as good as he was in STL for them because they cant put up the defense like STL did for him. The Mets arent much better because their rotation aint any better. Though there aint a lot of big names outside Rolen, Pujols, Carpenter, and Edmonds, the team is a solid one. This team is almost like the one who set the league on fire in 2004. And once you reach the playoffs, anything can happen. The Cardinals taught the world this last October and they should do it again

Though it is extremley diffucult to repeat a Championchip, the Cardinals could be the team to do it. They have 1 of the best all around line ups in the league. With offense power house such as Pujols (coem on its Pujols), Rolen, and Edmonds and a ptiching staff including Carpenter (Cy Young winner in 2005) Mulder, and Isringhausen, i would say that this team could turn out to be a dynasty.

Okay the real answer is.... No they don't stand a chance. I'm a die hard cardinals fan and i just don't think it will happen again. Losing Weaver who had a STELLAR playoffs is going to hurt them. They did get a lefty who was really good i cannot quiet remember his name but he had a under 2.00 ERA in the minor leagues in his 2 years there. He will be a great bullpen pitcher.
Go Cards.... Bleed Red

The Cardinals got the monkey off their back last year,by winning the WS.They have had a very good ball club for about 5 years now I look for them to give it a great shot this year.Their line-up is a murders row, their gonna score a lot of runs.TLR is a master at the 162 game reg. season.

No.
Not with what The Cubs & Brewers have done this winter.
Even if they win the division they still would have to get past The NY Muts and/or The Los Angeles Dodgers of Los Angeles.

Great team, but its always difficult to repeat. I'm guessing that they will get upset in the National League playoffs and will watch the World Series on tv.

I think they have a good chance i think in ways there team is alot stronger, I still think there pitching is a little weak but it was last year , but with the line up they have with Eckstien, Kennedy, Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds, Molina and with the last 2 spots up for grabs i think there line up will be unstopable, honestly I believe its gonna be a good year for us cardinal fans

their chances are slim to none..
everyone is expecting the cubs to win the division title (which wont happen for another 100 years!) and there is stiff competition from the Dodgers and Mets.
I highly doubt that they will even get past the 1st round of the playoffs..if they even make it to the playoffs..

Well they did win last year, and their team did not get any worse. Kip Wells and Adam Kennedy definitely dont hurt even though they arent huge names. Mulder cant do any worse when he gets back. So yeah, they have a chance its all about smart moves for Larussa, and having a little heart.

they need to sucker the Cubs into taking that chump Isringhausen off their hands, which is possible because the Cubs have been doing folish things for 100, I mean, 99 years.
