She has no proof. I would not admit to anything and tell her to quit harassing you or you'll contact the police. She has no recourse against you.

Exactly how did she determine it was you/your car? This sounds like one of two things: 1) for whatever reason, she really thinks you did it or 2) she's running a scam to get money. Is there any damage to your car? Did you look at her car? Another option would be to ask mall security if they have a tape of that area of the parking lot on the day/time in question. If you DID NOT have anything to do with damaging her car...you have nothing to worry about. I would tell her that you are very sorry her car was damaged but you did not do it. She needs to contact HER insurance carrier and file a claim with them.

All sorts of things occur to me ;
Is she trying it on ? what exact damage, is she claiming for ?
Remember , It is possible she may have , hit your car herself
Do not bandy words with her ... all this should go through the insurance company.
she cannot, demand money ,from you personally.
INFORM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY,
THAT THERE HAS BEEN AN ALLEGATION , That you refute
If you do want to talk to her ,ask her to verify , the exact time,
the accident was supposed to have happened .
(Your parking ticket, if there is one ,
could prove you were not there, at that time ( any way))
Does your car appear damaged, if so where
and is there any paint on it ( that would match the persons car )
what damage has her car sustained ( has it been assessed by an insurance assessor ?)
If your car was on private property , ( a car park ) then she cannot claim against you anyway .
this is very annoying and nasty
( accidents do happen , and the blame is often foisted,
on other people , to avoid losing their no-claims bonus or telling hubby )
stick with the facts ,
tell your insurance company as much as you know
This person may well have tried this stunt,
on somebody else, in the past .
Good luck

Try to stay calm

She has the burden of proof. Unless she has a witness or you slamming your door into her car causing damage on video tell her to scratch.

Did she make a police report? Is there any proof? It's like this... someone put sugar in my gas tank... twice. The second time I made a police report. Even though I knew who did it and the police knew who did it, they could not accuse the person unless someone saw him actually doing it. No witnesses, no consequences.

well if your car scratched hers there would be little pieces of your cars paint on hers and if it doesn't she can't get you to pay and also you may have a security camera somewhere and then you can prove that you didn't scratch her car
