If I was in this situation I would draft Joe Thomas, because the Raiders have needed an offensive line for some years now. Who ever their GM is, he will draft Jemarcus Russel from LSU. I think Calvin Johnson is the best player in the draft, but the Raiders need just about every position. I think if the Packers resign Ahman Green and make a trade for Randy Moss, we could see the Raiders draft Calvin Johnson. In this draft, there are so many quality quarterbacks in later rounds: Troy Smith, Chris Leak, Drew Stanton, and Kevin Kolb. if the Raiders do pass on Jemarcus Russel they can definetely get another quality qb later on.

Hands down Russell should be the first pick for the raiders.I know what your saying about Calvin Johnson but they already have cut Aaron Brooks so they need a quarterback.I have thought maybe if they trade Randy Moss for someone like a Matt Schaub or David Garrrard then Calvin Johnson would be the #1 pick. But then they have to contend with do they really want to pay a WR #1 pick money. Johnson is good but giving him the huge money a pick that high would get is a little to much to give to a guy who only touches the ball 10 times a game especially when there is no one there to throw them ball.Al Davis isn't even that crazy I mean having three overpriced wr's would turn them into well the lions who are #2 and wouldn't that be a interesting pick. The first three picks are all stacked at WR so I see Johnson goin to Tampa at 4. Russel is an amazing quarterback alot like a Steve McNair style quarterback he is big ,mobile, strong and has a cannon lump that in with the fact he played in the SEC which is the closest to the NFL as you can get he is the strongest prospect in this years draft. As for Calvin Johnson he'll thrive in Tampa with there running game and Jeff Garcia throwing him the rock.

Assuming that Oakland keeps the first pick it will most likely be Russell. They Raiders need a QB. Who do that have? Walter? Thats a joke. They don't really have a great need for a receiver. Right now they have Moss and Porter. Who are both proven playmakers. That is also assuming those two don't get traded off somewhere.
I chose Russell over Quinn because he seems to fit their scheme better. But, an argument can be made for Quinn as well. Either way watch for a QB.

The Raiders could pick just about any offensive position with the first pick. They had a respectable defense last year but a terrible offense. The need a running back, some linemen that can block, a quarterback, and a wide receiver that will come on Sunday to play not collect a paycheck.
Personally, I take JaMarcus Russell with the first pick and start to build a team around him. I trade or release Moss and Porter (both were worthless last year) and focus on rebuilding the offensive line this season. They must rebuild the offensive line, or it doesn't matter who they pick.

I think they should draft Jamarcuss Russell since they need a qb and he is the best one in the draft. But they may draft Calvin Johnson and trade Moss and Porter for maybe another draft pick or an established qb.

a million) LT - rather the selection a million %.. not in basic terms will he be the real scorer, he's the main consistent scorer. 2) Steven Jackson - Rams further weapons which will open up extra wholes for Jackson to run with the aid of and the guy replace into already a yardage gadget. 3) Larry Johnson - in spite of the shortcoming of Will Shields, this guy will shine. he's in simple terms too sturdy to pass up at this ingredient. 4) Frank Gore - he's the 1st determination on each and every play for the niners and he's an absolute beast. 5) Joseph Addai - He rushed for a million,000+ yards final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and did not initiate one sport. persevered adulthood and not having to share the burden will make him a real 5 lower back.

thats a tough one.they have so many needs where do you start.trading down is less likely since free agents are gone.unless a team thats stacked has a specific need and works out something.they are gonna suck for a while so maybe they should do like dallas did in the late 80s and dump all talent over 25 for draft picks or have a fire sale.i hope they surround themselves with good football people who get the right people on the field.that probably means putting al davis out to pasture but hey hes there biggest problem.

Quinn will probably be picked over russell because of money they want to pay out and we all know al davis is cheap and i'm sure quinn will prove himself and then once he is established in the nfl then he will go to another team.

JaMarcus Russell. They'd have someone who could make Moss elite again.
