when a girl first gets her period it is VERY irregular for the first year or so. meaning it may be heavy one month, light another month. it may skip a month or two. her body is just adjusting to it, and it will work itself out over time. nothing to worry about. (well, if she is sexually you technically do have to worry about pregnancy. but overall, many young teens have very irregular periods).

I had my period when I was 12 and I am now thirteen. My aunt had here period when she was in High school. Don't worry. After the first time you get your period it might not come back for a few month. Bt tell her to be careful and bring a pad with her every just in case she has it.

It's totally normal. It took three years before my periods were predictable.

Is she underweight? Sexually active? Is she lacking in a vitamin? Lack of vit. D can make you miss periods.

since i'm a guy and don't know much about women's health, maybe she's pregnant? or maybe her body is going through a settling-in cycle where it's getting adjusted to adolescence. by the way i don't mean anything rude by suggesting she's pregnant. i'm only going by science.
