How old was that guy Anna Nicole Smith married (bad analogy...bad attempt at levity...sorry)? But 14 and 13? No big deal...that depends (of course) on what sort of relationship you have in mind. There are a lot of things you two are still way too young for...but as far as being close, one year is nothing.

Friends with benefits? At your ages, I hope 'benefits' means holding hands and a peck on the cheek.
"Younger" people should stay the heck away from romance till they are old enough to at least work for a living. Go play some volleyball or something.

yes, when you are younger a slight difference like this does seem bigger. Lets see...that's middle school. Wait-hold on-freinds with benifits and you are only in middle school??? I hope this does NOT mean you are having sex. I'm 27 now and there were girls who had sex in middle school sure-we called them sluts. So I think you need to direct your attention on not the age difference but if you are moving too fast with these boys. Give them somthing to look strive for. Just slow down, and make out. You can have sex in high school.

Only one year? Even at your age, that is not a big age difference.

No. It is okay. A couple of years won't even hurt and when you are older a lot of years won't matter. My husband is six years younger than I am, but he seems older.

Meh, one year is nothing. At your age over 2 years might be odd.

Ahh your avatar looks exactly like mine but with red hair... I'm creeped out. Anyway, no it's not too young, it's only a year! But it IS too young to be having "benefits" in my opinion. I don't like the sound of that young lady! *shakes finger at you*

Its only when one person is of legal age and the other is a minor. Is when you run into trouble. You're fine.

BENEFITS??? at 14 and 13?? what is wrong with your school? dont they have sex ed there? The best advice I can give you is keep it in your pants and tell him to keep it away from you.
