Hello snowygirl30

If you have the latest version of Tiger, they have a Widgets Widget that manages all of your Widgets. You click on the plus (+) sign at the bottom left to bring up the bottom row of Widgets and use the left or right arrow until you find the Dashboard icon that is opened up. Click on that and the Widgets Widget comes up on your screen. Find your Widget that you want to delete and click on the minus (-) button and click on it. Best of luck.

rwpete63 is correct if you want to disable the widget. If you want to delete it click on 'Manage Widgets' after clicking on the circle with a + in it and delete it from the list that will pop up. Or you can run a search for the widget with Spotlight, click on the widgets folder to open it and delete the widget from there. Caution: I've read somewhere that you shouldn't delete the default widgets that came with your Mac.

Drag the icon to the trash can and let it go.
