I have a 1995 Probe GT. It's been having issues for close to a year now. It used to slightly hesitate & now it's having issues accelerating. Is this because the spark plugs need to be changed? I was told by a friend that it could also be because the engine mounts were loose. I JUST put $850 into brakes & am not looking forward to engine work. Thanks in advance

yes.......steve is right.........you got ripped on the brake job......but I,m not here to bring you down...do a good tune up.....or have someone do it......check your engine mount,s.....although I don,t think that,s your problem........check your fuel/air system.....bad injector,s, vacuum leak at your throttle plate,or vacuum leak anywhere,check all sensor,s,.tps,mass air flow,m.a.p, sensor...timing control/crank sensor,oxy,sensor,etc.....check for problem code,s.

change the plugs, if you don't know the last time they were changed, thats a bad thing. You probably need wires too. Replace the air filter and fuel filter. You can do all of these things yourself with a set of five dallor tools. Buy a manual and don't be affraid to get your hans dirty. If you paid 850.00 for brakes you got robbed. Check your reciept, and see how much they charged you for pads and rotors. Call a local parts shop, like auto zone, napa or o'reily's and see how much pads and rotor cost their. Next time you need brakes shop around you'll see prices vary from the 850.00 you paid to about 400.00.
