how do you disable new mcafee security?

i just got the latest version of mcafee and i need to disable it. the problem is that on the old when i download songs from itunes it blocks it so i had to turn privacy off so they could download. i need to know how to do it on the new one so i can finish downloading or what parts i need to disable so i can. i hate the new mcafee , theres so much new stuff thats frustrating and confusing so i would appreciate any help!

Open McAfee, then go click on Computer & File protected. Then look down to the right and click on Configure. Then check the OFF box. That's it.

Note that McAfee is today's best security software.

Follow the following:

↓ Double click the Mcafee Icon in the Tool bar (shown as red)
↓ Click the protection to disable i.e firewall, virus etc.
↓ In the Information bar shown with the traffic light, click the small word highlighted as disable.
↓ Clicking the work disable will bring up a pop-up asking to validate your choice
↓ Click yes to disable
↓ Notice the traffic light will turn red

The application will be disabled.
This is again backed up as the Red M in the Tool bar will Turn Black.
Do not forget to enable the software as needed.

TO BE HONEST WITH YOU BOTH MY FATHER AND I HAD MCAFEE INTERNET SECURITY WITH OUR DELL COMPUTERS BUT FOUND IT VERY FRUSTRATING AND IT DIDN'T STOP THE VIRUSES FROM ENTERING MY FATHERS COMPUTER - AT ONE POINT HE HAD OVER 180 VIRUSES ON HIS COMPUTER AND IT TOOK ME THE BEST PART OF A WEEK TO GET RID OF THEM ALL AND GET HIS COMPUTER RUNNING OK AGAIN. WE'VE BOTH SINCE TOTALLY DELETED MCAFEE FROM OUR COMPUTERS BECAUSE NOT ONLY WERE THE PROGRAMS NOT PROTECTING OUR COMPUTERS BUT THEY WERE COSTING US A FORTUNE SO I JUST WENT INTO THE ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS SECTION IN CONTROL PANEL AND DELETED EVERYTHING TO DO WITH MCAFEE AND WE'VE BOTH NOW GOT A GREAT INTERNET SECURITY PACKAGE CALLED F-SECURE AND IT'S FANTASTIC! IN FACT IT'S SO GOOD MY SISTER HAS NOW INSTALLED IT ON HER COMPUTER AND I'VE JUST INSTALLED IT ON MY NEIGHBOURS SYSTEM ALSO - IT'S GOOD BECAUSE ONCE YOU HAVE IT INSTALLED IT UPGRADES THROUGH THE INTERNET SO IT'S ALWAYS UP TO DATE AND YOU HAVE CONTROL OVER THE LEVEL OF SECURITY YOU WANT ON YOUR SYSTEM. I GOT THE PACKAGE THROUGH MY INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER BUT MY NEIGHBOURS DOWNLOADED IT FROM THE F-SECURE SITE ITSELF (OR RATHER I DOWNLOADED IT FOR THEM) I DON'T KNOW WHAT PART OF THE WORLD YOU LIVE IN BUT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN FINDING OUT MORE ABOUT F-SECURE (YOU CAN EVEN SIGN UP FOR A FREE 30 DAY TRIAL TO SEE IF YOU LIKE IT!) JUST TYPE IN F-SECURE TO YOUR WEB BROWSER AND GO FROM THERE!
