i have this hamster and it has a huge cage and everything, but i always get the feeling that shes bored, becouse she never really plays in her cage she stays in her little hideaway all day, does anybody have any suggestions of a toy i can get her or anything i can do to make her not be bored

i would say u should get another female hamster. u r lucky u dont have a male because u cant have 2 males in a cage. i found that out the hard way. hope that helps ur furry friend.

I suggest getting her a friend, definetly a female hamster to keep her company. The best toys to get them active are toys with food in them, because they love to search for their food. I also suggest taking her out of the cage and playing with her. They love to explore in those big plastic balls. Although I would do it when the stairs are blocked off. If its a big cage, she may just feel lazy. How long have u had her? She could be pregnant from another hamster at the store, although its unlikely, it would explain her tired behavior. you might try putting a towl over the cage, so she feels safer coming out of the hideaway. They like dark spaces better than a bright flourescent light glaring at them.

A couple of years ago, I found a little ball- about the size of a baseball- that twittered and flashed lights when it rolled. It was in a little novelty store. My kitties love it! Perhaps you can find something like that for your hamster?

does she have a running wheel? Hamsters really love them. Play with her more often

go out and buy another hamster. perferably a male if its female and female if it male. go get her a walking ball or a running wheel

If you don't already have one get an excersize wheel or those rolling balls that they can roll around the house in.

i would sugest tunnels becuase they like getting in and out of them so you should get long ones
