It depends on what you want.
Great service area, slightly less minutes? - Verizon
Crappy service area, more minutes? - Sprint
Crappier service, even more minutes? - TMobile, Cingular(AT&T)
Any prepaid service gets fewer minutes than the regular plans for any of the companies, but once the child uses up the money put into the plan, the phone is inactive until more money is added.

i tips verizon to you. they have some truly low priced telephone plans with countless texting, and they have truly marvelous phones that could be placed on settlement or prepaid. so some distance as phones flow, i recognize the voyager or the env contact. the voyager is more good value because it truly is lots older than the env contact, yet both are truly marvelous.

Virgin Mobile.
The phones are cheap, the rates are reasonable, and there is no monthly bill.
If you use less than 300 mins. a month, this may be a good phone/service for you.
