Sure why not, that way those of us that desire to be prosperous and work hard can cut loose the lazy slackers that keep dragging us down and sticking their hands out.

Have you learned nothing from the mistakes of segregation? Do cliques work in high school? No - they only stand to represent "us vs. them". Cliques don't work for nations either. As for California, I am a native Californian and proud of it. When people make fun of Californians, they should realize that a vast majority of our population is made up of transplants from other states - so that would mean that the whacked out people you speak of aren't just in Hollywood - but could be from your very own state as well!

You probably meant no ill-will towards anyone and I can appreciate your question as a contemplative reflection on why can't we just all get along, but check your history. Hitler tried to do just that, initially, and ended up doing much worse. Google "ethnic cleansing" and see what comes up. Your rationale is uncomfortably close to those who would rather kill than co-exist. Remember, thinking and pondering is only half the battle...you still need to read and be informed.

Um...I was born, and have lived on the west coast for over half of my life, and I'll be damned if I leave. Love it here.

So no, it wouldn't help at all, cause some people (like me) would have to be forcibly removed, and yeah...another set of problems arise...

Why, in the world, would anyone want to do that? If we're going to separate, let's do it by people who want to acheive in one state and put the parasites and self-destructive in another. I can't stand the deadbeats.I don't judge by race.

This would actually leads to a famous phrase that I'm sure you have heard once before. "If everyone was the same, life wouldn't be interesting."

We need the cultural distribution between each state to mix up our lives.

Nope!!!

It would help if people just relaxed about it all.

The part with the asians would end up being the most successful.
