I want my son to be strong and Cael is the name of an Olympic weightlifter. It means strong in Irish

I think both of these names are cute. I LOVE Andie as a girls name. I've seen a few Andie's that were girls that spelled their names ANDY, and I DO NOT like that. I think Cael is cute, it is not a very common name, so some people are going to think it is crazy, but I think it is too cute.

**I like uncommon names though!

Ooh I like Andie as a girl's name. It reminds me of Andie Anderson from "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and the model Andie MacDowell.
Some other names meaning "strong" are Everett, Hart, and Stark. Cael is okay, but maybe Caleb could be his name and then his nickname Cael?

Cael for a boy is Ok, but I like Cole better. Cael makes me think of green leafy stuff. I hate the name Andie for a girl. It sounds like a boy's name to me and just isn't pretty at all.

I like Cael. I would not name my daughter Andie. I would stay away from unisex names for either child.

Both sound good, I hadn't heard of Cael but it's very original.

Cael reminds me of Collard Greens, or a leafy food. Not 'strong' at all, sorry. Andie is darling!

they sound nice--what does Cael mean? I love boy type names for girls--they are always cute.

I like the names; however, just because you name your son w/ the meaning strong doesn't mean he will be. Its how you raise him that counts not what his name means. Here are some other names that mean strong: Tristian, Leonardo, Kensley, Aaron, Ethan. I love Andie for a girl. If you want something longer and have it be her nickname here are a few suggestions: Andrea, Andraya, Andreana
